It is an excellent starting place for various walks. The house is easy of access. It is even possible to walk to the village.
The original part of Finca La Higuera is the cave with the wine of the owner. In the new part are the living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.
Through the impressive doors you enter the large living area, the new built part. It is light and airy. In the back is the original cave .
The kitchen includes a 2 -burner stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and coffee maker .
In the bedroom you find a large bed with excellent matrass.
The bathroom includes a massage shower, lovely after a day walking or exploring the island. Between bathroom and living room is an area to store your suitcases etc.
The outside kitchen is a surprising extra. A spacious and sheltered place equipped with a barbecue, work surface with sink and a large dining table
The barbecue can be used for grilling, but also as a fireplace during cooler evenings
There is a CD player with CD´s.
The spacious terrace at Finca La Higuera offers various places to enjoy the good life.
Every hour of the day you will find a perfect place to sit and relax.
A sunny breakfast, sun bathing or a siësta in the shade, a glass of wine at the bar table or in the evening cosy and warm near the fire.
It is all possible.
From every part of the terrace you can enjoy that fantastic view.
The jacuzzi has great sea view. Enjoy it at night under the stars.

Puntagorda is one of the most beautiful areas in the north-west of the island La Palma.
In the village are various shops, a dispensing chemist, doctor and dentist, banks with cash dispensers, a post office, restaurants, typical local bars.
Saturdays and Sundays there is a market in the Mercadillo selling local produce like wine, cheese, meat, cakes, fruit and vegetables and nice presents to take home.
In the village center near the clock is an interesting tourist information office.
The area around Puntagorda is a must for nature lovers.
There are many and varied walking paths, view points, some old windmills and El Fayal, a beautiful pine forest with barbecue and picnic area and childrens playground.
Higher in the mountains are the vineyards of the Traviesa and the Vega Norte wines.
El Puerto has access to the sea. There is no beach, but in the summer months you can swim in the ocean. From here you have a breath taking view along the coast up to the South.
Puntagorda is ideally situated for trips to the north of La Palma and the highest point of the island Roque de Los Muchachos.
In January the almond trees start flowering in Puntagorda. Every year, at the end of January or beginning of February, Puntagorda celebrates the Festival of the Flowering Almond.
Late July / beginning of August is the celebration of San Mauro Abad, the patron saint of Puntagorda.
