The owners of Casa La Graja renovated this old pajero with lots of love into a very comfortable holiday home.
The house is beautifully restored with modern comforts yet with many of original features
The living room has a comfortable sofa and there is sea view and view over the area. When it is cool, the wood burning stove will warm the whole cottage.
The cosy kitchen is well equipped. There is a large fridge/freezer, ceramic hob, oven, dish washer, coffee machine, toaster and a good selection of kitchen utensils and china.
There is everything you need to prepare a lovely meal from the local produce. Puntagorda is famous for that!
Casa La Graja is provided with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.
After a long day out you will sleep like a log in one of the lovely bedrooms. Outside it will be absolutely quiet and the beds are very comfortable.
There is a double bed of 150 x 200m and twee single beds of 90 x 200m.
The pool and pool terrace are sheletered and offer you sun and shadow.
The hammock in the shade of the trees is a perfect place for a real Spanish siësta.
Around the house there are a lot of possibilities to sit in the sun or the shadow and enjoy the views.
Next to the house is a covered terrace with a table and chairs.
At the back is a sheltered terrace with a small herb garden made of tea wood.
You can use the fresh herbs in the kitchen and on the barbecue.
Next to the terrace the owners built a bodega with a kitchen and a barbecue. A great sheltered place.
Here you can grill your meat and fish and roast your vegetables and potatoes on the barbecue. There are a dining table and a work surface with sink.
Cooler winter nights will be romantic by the fire….
There are stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean and the lovely green nature of the area. It will be different every hour of the day.
There are no neighbours so nobody will disturbe you in this little paradise.
Around the cottage is a lot of space. You can walk on your own land.
Puntagorda has a network of clearly marked footpaths which comply with the ERA (European Ramblers Association).
La Palma is a paradise for both serious hiking and casual walking alike and is certainly known as the best Canary Island for walking.
In January and February the almonds are in flower, beautiful to see.

Puntagorda is one of the most beautiful areas in the north-west of the island La Palma.
In the village are various shops, a dispensing chemist, doctor and dentist, banks with cash dispensers, a post office, restaurants, typical local bars.
Saturdays and Sundays there is a market in the Mercadillo selling local produce like wine, cheese, meat, cakes, fruit and vegetables and nice presents to take home.
In the village center near the clock is an interesting tourist information office.
The area around Puntagorda is a must for nature lovers.
There are many and varied walking paths, view points, some old windmills and El Fayal, a beautiful pine forest with barbecue and picnic area and childrens playground.
Higher in the mountains are the vineyards of the Traviesa and the Vega Norte wines.
El Puerto has access to the sea. There is no beach, but in the summer months you can swim in the ocean. From here you have a breath taking view along the coast up to the South.
Puntagorda is ideally situated for trips to the north of La Palma and the highest point of the island Roque de Los Muchachos.
In January the almond trees start flowering in Puntagorda. Every year, at the end of January or beginning of February, Puntagorda celebrates the Festival of the Flowering Almond.
Late July / beginning of August is the celebration of San Mauro Abad, the patron saint of Puntagorda.
